It has a maximum aperture of 2.8 (wide open). All firmware updates have been accomplished - no need for anything else. LCD is protected by a glass LCD protector. It features a 1/2" EXR sensor (for expanded dynamic range) and both an electronic viewfinder (EVF) and an adjustable 3" LCD (see photos).
