This unit will power on and tick like a clock. The fan doesn’t turn on and the bulb doesn’t turn on. I am unable to do any further testing. So I don’t know if it reads disks. My guess is that it needs a new fan and possibly a new bulb. I wondered if the bulb doesn’t come on because it detects that the fan is not running. But I don’t know anything about pretty much anything so it may need a new/repaired bulb and fan. Sold for parts or repair.
