Tested, works very well. Does not come with a remote. The unit is in very good condition. Tested with both a DVD and an SACD via the HDMI output. DVD playback is perfect, looks and sounds great for a DVD. I was not able to get any audio to pass through HDMI when I tested an SACD, but I was able to get excellent audio through the analog audio outputs on the back. Might need the remote to change a setting in the unit to get it to output SACD audio through the HDMI port.
