Canon FL 55mm 1:1.2 F/1.2 Fast Prime Manual SLR Camera Lens with Caps and Case

All is in nice condition except the foam in the top and bottom of the case has deteriorated and has left debris on the front cap, as shown. I don't know the best way to clean this off the otherwise nice front lens cap.
